East Lake Woodlands - North Course

The Tedesco Sports Marketing Crew of Richard Gonzalez, Joe Tedesco and Ramon Guzman had the pleasure of playing one of the premiere golf courses in Florida, The North Course at East Lake Woodlands Country Club in Oldsmar.

We started our play, from the white tees on the North Course on the 476 yard par 5 hole number 1.  The fairways and greens were in excellent condition, so, we had no excuses.  The weather was extremely hot, so we paced ourselves accordingly.  The four par 3’s we played were good testers of our abilities.  We liked the idea that they all were quite different, and varied in distances.  The first par 3 was at hole #6, a short 121 yards, the next was at hole #8, at 169 yards, then on the back nine the next was hole #10 at 160 yards, and the last was hole #16 at 152 yards. 

East Lake Woodlands has two 18-hole Championship Golf Courses, named appropriately, North and South.  These are two of the top private courses in the State.  The North Course has very tight fairway landing areas, as we soon found out, there is hardly any elevation, and water comes into play on 14 holes on the North Course, and more than half the holes on the South Course.

 Both courses are par 72, designed by Robert Von Hagge and  Bruce Devlin, with Bermuda grass on the greens, and winter rye on the fairways.

As we roamed around the facilities, we were greeted with friendly smile from all the employees, as we found the service from all the personnel, excellent.

 Overall, we highly recommend this private course to all who are looking for the best in country club amenities.  In addition to the 2 golf courses, East Lake Woodlands also has 17 tennis courts (14 clay and 3 hard), 3 swimming Pools (1 heated).
