Harmony Golf Preserve, Harmony, FL2006 |

The week before Christmas, the Tedesco Sports
Marketing crew, along with Dan Sileo, sports radio personality from Clear
Channel, visited the beautiful Harmony Golf Preserve, in Harmony, Florida.
Harmony, Florida is located approximately 10 miles east of St.
Cloud, Florida, near Orlando. The weather was beautiful, and we were all ready to attack
this wonderful course. There are 5 options of tee locations:
Black - 7,428 yards, Blue - 6,955,
White - 6,394, Gold – 5,955, and the Red – 5,410.
We decided to play the Blue tees. Before we went out, we visited the Pro Shop which is well stocked with all the amenities needed to make your round an enjoyable one.

This pristine course was opened in 2002, and designed
by world renowned golf announcer, and Hall of Fame Golfer, Johnny Miller.
The course is located on 280 acres in Osceola County, Florida,
which is well known for its wetlands, meadows, towering pines, and
beautiful lakes. Miller and
his design team combined their vast golf knowledge, and incorporated all
of the surrounding features of nature, to make Harmony Golf Preserve, a
gem that stands out among all other Central Florida courses. Harmony has full amenities for the discriminating
golfer. An 18,000 square foot
clubhouse, driving range, practice putting green, sand trap and chipping
areas, men and women’s locker rooms, The 19th Hole taproom
(my favorite), a formal dining restaurant (Greenside’s), and a full
service bar. We started our round out at Hole Number One, a Par 4, 415 yard dog right over some heavily bushes which conceals your way to the green. We all were able to find the fairway, and our 4-some found its way on the green, two of us in 2 shots and two of us in 3 shots. Once we were on the green, we marveled at the meticulous care taken by the Harmony staff to insure our putts will be true to our strokes.

As we worked our way through these lush fairways, we approached Hole Number 5, a Par 5, 604 yard, serpentine fairway that would test the best of golfers. This is the number 3 handicap hole on the course. It is worth the admission at Harmony just to play the spectacular hole. There is no need to tell you our scores on this hole. As we approached the Number One handicap hole, Number 9, a 418 yard Par 4, dog leg left, with water all down the left side, we realized that Harmony has water in some shape or form on every hole. At this point I looked into my golf bag to make sure I had enough balls to finish the round |

Another majestic hole is the Par 5, 535 yard, 14th,
which is a dog right starting over water, but if you are not careful and
push your second shot too far left, you will be in the lake that protects
the left side of the fairway and geen. We finished up our round on the Par 4, 18th,
a 440yard beauty, which is the Number 2 handicap hole. This hole has it all – water, multi sand traps, bushes, and
woods. It is a true test of
your golfing prowess. Our whole group had a wonderful experience on this magnificent course. Lyle Beaver, Director of Golf Operations, and the rest of his professional staff should be commended on their gracious a professional manner afforded to us during our round. Tedesco Sports Marketing ranks this course a "must play" when in the Central Florida area. |
