2005

On Sunday, November 6, 2005, the Tedesco Sports Marketing team of Joe Tedesco, Rich Gonzalez, and Nick Nawrocki were invited to play and review Kings Ridge Golf Club in Clermont, Florida.

We would like to thank the Management for giving us the opportunity to play this magnificent course.

There are two great courses from which to choose. The original Lloyd Clifton Par 70 course, now designated as the South Course, and a brand new, very exciting Ron Garl designed Par 57 North Course.  We played the South Par 70 Course.  The South Course has often deceived many golfers into relaxing and thinking that this will be an easy course to play. Rather open, rolling fairways lull the golfer and then the greens attack with a vengeance. Bring your best putting game to Kings Ridge South.

 1st Tee, Par 4

The one thing you notice as soon as you get to the first tee, is the magnificent scenery that this course provides.  You can’t help but take notice of the rolling fairways, and elevation changes, so uncommon to us Floridians.  The fairways were very plush and meticulously maintained as were the greens.  Almost every green had situational slopes to test your putting prowess

Hole 13,  Par 4

The one thing that we all noticed was the breadth of each fairway.  It really allows the golfer to take a hearty swing, and if in that rare moment, you do not hit it down the middle, you can still find your ball amongst the many trees and shrubs

The course capitalizes on the naturally rolling terrain of the beautiful Clermont, Florida countryside. The seasoned golfer will enjoy the surrounding panorama while encountering the elevated tees, rolling fairways and undulating greens. The Kings Ridge greens are a true test of any golfers putting skills.

Hole 14, Par 3

Hole 18, a par 4 "on your left" was breathtaking and by far, our favorite hole. If this is not their signature hole, we think it should be.

It's a strange sensation hitting over a tree to get to the fairway but the elevation is what makes this course so enjoyable. The tree is below you and the top of the tree is about level with the tee box.

Tedesco Sports Marketing highly recommends Kings Ridge Golf Club for you next golf date.  The staff is very friendly, accommodating.  The Pro Shop can easily take care of your golfing needs if there is anything you left out of your bag.
